Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely along required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Manoeuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment when warranted and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service checks (oil, water, gasoline, air) and report malfunctions.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle weight, or a chauffeur’s license depending on state.
  • •Pass required background and drug testing per federal and/or state DOT regulations, including a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
