Job Summary

Own the product order engineering process for Middle East & Africa orders from Chennai. Review Sales/LBP purchase orders, transform them into accurate BOMs, verify product structure vs technical specifications, and release orders to MEA factories. Coordinate across sales, LBPs, R&D engineering, and project management to resolve technical discrepancies, support change orders, monitor order progress, and drive continuous improvement through reporting and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform detailing activities to communicate accurate BOMs to manufacturing and verify product structure vs technical specifications.
•Review Sales/LBP orders for completeness of technical requirements for MEA-sourced project and MRO orders and provide feedback on discrepancies.
•Coordinate with internal teams (sales, LBPs, global industry sales, R&D engineering, project management) to ensure proper form, fit, and function for BOMs.
•Monitor order progress, escalate issues, and support timely release of items to manufacturing across the production process.
•Provide monthly reporting on unclean orders, new design requests, new part number creations, change order reports, and Right First-Time issues, and participate in continuous process improvements.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering.
•Minimum 5-8 years’ overall experience in a highly mechanical, design, or technology-focused role.
•Knowledge in Fisher engineering tools and ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle Business system, and JDE.
•In-depth understanding of quote-to-cash processes.
•Mechanical/technical drawing interpretation experience, plus Fisher 1300 and Fisher RED BELT certifications.
