Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detailed design of low to extra-high voltage substations, including one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA, communications, and station physical layouts.
  • •Create technical drawings and design details such as cable and conduit plans, ground grid and foundation plans, structural plans, and control enclosure details.
  • •Develop protection and related designs including lightning protection plans and yard lighting plans.
  • •Support QA/QC for client deliverables and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and relevant policies.
  • •Assist with transmission line design across new lines, relocations, upgrades, and fiber optic additions, working individually or within a team as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering) or BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology) degree from an accredited university, preferably with a power option.
  • •Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and ability to build on it.
  • •Ability to live in the St. Louis area or relocate there with minimal assistance.
  • •Strong English communication skills (written and oral) to work with internal teams and external clients.
  • •Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without work sponsorship.
