Own regional information security Governance, Risk & Compliance for Mexico City (or San Francisco), serving as the point of contact for regulators and shaping external views of Airwallex’s security posture. Implement and monitor security controls, maintain security documentation, and continuously refine policies using AI/automation. Act as a subject-matter expert for security compliance in the Mexico region while executing hands-on security tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the regional anchor for Mexico City, prioritizing region-specific requirements while integrating with the global team.
•Serve as a trusted contact for Mexican regulatory bodies, customers, partners, and vendors.
•Manage implementation and monitoring of security controls, continuously refining and iterating.
•Develop and maintain security documentation including standards, policies, reporting metrics, dashboards, and evidence artefacts.
•Implement AI and automation to streamline compliance and security work, including reporting and communications.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 120,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5-7 years of cybersecurity experience with the ability to work independently.
•Must hold a Mexican Tax ID (RFC) or have dual Mexican citizenship.
•Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
•Deep knowledge of security/compliance frameworks including PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2, with understanding of security audits.
•Knowledge of policy creation and maintenance and working understanding of complex cloud environments and their impact on compliance operations.
