Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair vehicle systems including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, air conditioning, engine electronics, steering systems, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and evaluate defective equipment; road test vehicles to confirm proper operation.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, maintaining safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections and daily schedule.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders, document work with photos using a company-issued iOS device and proprietary TRAIT application, and communicate findings/approvals with management/support.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent alternative such as a different combination including additional degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Ability to supply and use the required set of hand tools and perform moderately heavy labor for long periods.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Meet DOT/Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration pre-employment requirements, including background screening and DOT physical (or provide a valid DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
