Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead a team of engineers in the Edinburgh office, working collaboratively with coastal, flood risk and structures teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • •Oversee design scope and ensure delivery within budget and programme constraints
  • •Demonstrate strong technical understanding and maintain awareness of industry practices and innovations, with final sign-off on deliverables
  • •Develop and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative environment and professional growth
  • •Lead stakeholder engagement across projects with clients, delivery teams and external partners to ensure successful outcomes

Key Requirements

  • •BEng or MEng Civil Engineering Degree (or suitable equivalent)
  • •Be professionally qualified (ICE, CIWEM etc.) or have equivalent experience
  • •Experience leading project teams in water, wastewater and/or flood risk management sectors and managing design scope
  • •Experience in client-facing project management to support efficient running of projects/programmes; track record in delivering strong commercial performances; understanding of construction and professional services contracts
  • •Experience in running teams internally from a people and line management perspective
