Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical direction to project teams nationwide for delivery of complex flood risk projects
  • •Technically lead or verify hydraulic modelling projects used in flood alleviation schemes and flood maps
  • •Review or verify technical reports detailing model builds and associated uncertainties
  • •Lead and contribute to proposals ranging from one-off projects to large framework contracts
  • •Mentor team members to support professional development and maintain high delivery standards

Key Requirements

  • •More than 15 years of experience in hydraulic and modelling software (e.g., Flood Modeller, InfoWorks ICM, or TUFLOW)
  • •Deep understanding of Environment Agency requirements for flood models used in flood risk assessments and scheme design
  • •Established industry network demonstrated through LinkedIn activity or presentations
  • •Understanding of hydrological assessments using FEH and REFH2
  • •Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline; Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM
