Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage an assigned caseload of complex property damage claims, including evaluating coverage and potential legal liability.
  • •Investigate claim damages by researching information from insured parties, third parties, and external sources; identify and resolve discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Determine coverage by analyzing complex policy terms/contingencies, including reviewing prior loss history and creating SIU referrals when appropriate.
  • •Negotiate and settle complex claims within authority limits; collaborate with management on settlement recommendations outside authority.
  • •Maintain accurate claim file documentation and use estimating technology and virtual inspection tools; support surges and CAT response including on-call and possible travel.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
  • •2 years of relevant property claims adjusting experience involving moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates for dwelling and structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools/platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50-75% of the year (local & non-local) and/or support catastrophe duty when needed, and acquire/maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
