Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and enforce manufacturing, integration, assembly, welding, NDE, cleanliness, and checkout processes across work centers.
  • •Identify reliability gaps, ideate solutions, and implement improvements without slowing build rate.
  • •Partner with design engineering and manufacturing to create quality plans, including key characteristics, prototype testing, first article planning, and inspection planning.
  • •Monitor production ramp-up success using quality and analysis tools and run build quality reviews to reduce risk and complexity.
  • •Investigate failures in production, test, and flight, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and design/implement tooling for testing and build operations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, materials, manufacturing, chemical, or electrical engineering (or related STEM field).
  • •1+ years in a manufacturing, quality and/or design engineering role (student project team or internship experience qualifies).
  • •Experience with build/assembly/integration of structures, avionics, valves, fluid system components, actuators, thermal protection systems, or other aerospace components.
  • •Knowledge of welding requirements and experience implementing welding process improvements with process controls for automated and manual welding.
  • •Knowledge of quality tools and methods including Lean principles, measurement systems analysis, design of experiments, statistical process control, root cause analysis/corrective action, APQP, metrology, PFMEA, and control plans.
