Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Data Governance workscope on the River-Class Destroyer Programme, engaging stakeholders to facilitate governance expectations and define data requirements.
  • •Coordinate delivery of the Data Governance/Assurance framework, including supporting implementation of data quality management and governance/assurance initiatives.
  • •Support development of measures to assess the business benefit of data governance and assurance, periodically measuring effectiveness and feeding back to senior stakeholders.
  • •Deliver data governance and assurance awareness and training across the programme.
  • •Support resolution of data quality issues and ensure suitable processes are in place to prevent repeat issues.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 65,665 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant technology, engineering, science, or IT discipline, and hold Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional institution.
  • •Demonstrable experience in data governance, data quality management, data lifecycle management, and use of data governance/PLM tools (including Windchill).
  • •Ability to identify and map data flows, capture and document data requirements, and apply analytics/visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Cognos).
  • •Proven experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects while engaging and influencing stakeholders across international environments.
  • •Experience coordinating resources supporting and implementing data quality management and governance/assurance initiatives, including data owners and stewards.
