Key Responsibilities

  • •Assemble and test landing gear shock struts and components per Collins drawings and acceptance test procedure requirements.
  • •Perform replacement, repair, and retro-fit of MLG, NLG, linkages, actuators, and LRU’s per assembly process sheets, engineering instructions, and drawing requirements.
  • •Conduct electrical and hydraulic functional tests per engineering instructions and acceptance test procedures.
  • •Participate in a safe, team-oriented environment and help execute TPM, LEAN, 5S, and FOD prevention principles.
  • •Support quality initiatives through operator-self-verification (OSV) and perform other assigned tasks (e.g., sub-assemblies, sealing, bushing installation, calibration & shelf life activities).

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent work experience) plus a recognized and accredited college/trade program.
  • •Previous landing gear assembly experience or 3+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/aerospace environment.
  • •Understanding of hydraulic and electrical control systems and ability to use test equipment.
  • •Ability to follow assembly instructions and/or blueprints.
  • •Demonstrated ability to operate an overhead crane safely and follow strict safety practices and procedures.
