Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide visible clinical nursing leadership and act as a role model for professional practice, clinical standards, and patient-centred care.
  • •Lead and coordinate inpatient paediatric services within the Paediatric division, sustaining effective relationships with consultant medical staff and the nursing team.
  • •Lead, manage, motivate, and develop staff to maintain high morale and high standards, including conducting appraisal and development planning for direct reports.
  • •Develop patient-focused services by identifying financial, capital, and workforce requirements and ensuring contractual and performance targets are met.
  • •Work in shared governance to establish and monitor protocols of care, monitor KPIs, and review patient feedback to improve outcomes and reduce length of stay.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or equivalent).
  • •Current valid DHA nursing licence or eligibility for DHA registration.
  • •Relevant Masters level studies preferable.
  • •Minimum five years’ recent experience managing a team of nurses.
  • •Strong leadership and communication skills, including guiding team performance and accountability.
