Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct research and data analysis to inform recommendations on existing and future government policies and programs.
  • •Stay current on industry trends and developments to provide the best advice to clients.
  • •Analyze the effectiveness of government policies and programs and recommend improvements.
  • •Produce error-free, timely analysis and deliver it in client-friendly language with visuals using appropriate media (e.g., PowerPoint and Word).
  • •Help drive the start-up office’s success by building local networks, supporting improvements to operations/processes, and contributing to team culture.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of experience as a political staffer, multi-lateral staff, or in civil society organizations, or 2+ years in a top-tier management consulting firm.
  • •Professional experience in one or more areas such as investment, FDI attraction, industrial policy/economic competitiveness, and/or energy and infrastructure.
  • •Ability to break down complex, messy problems into clear insights and pragmatic, data-backed recommendations.
  • •Comfort with both qualitative nuance and quantitative rigor, translating research into recommendations for leaders.
  • •Proficiency in Russian (strong asset) and Kazakh (plus).
