Key Responsibilities

  • •Handle overall operation of the Piping Specialists group to achieve high quality and timely completion within established work hour budgets for assigned projects.
  • •Ensure engineering and design quality, including technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities, specifications, and procedures for piping disciplines.
  • •Execute work according to applicable contract procedures and standards, and adhere to Wood engineering procedures/work instructions for design safety.
  • •Prepare, review, issue, and follow up all piping deliverables up to issue for construction, including approving piping deliverables prior to initial and construction release.
  • •Review 3D models and plot plans with the Project Engineering Manager, area project engineers, and other team members, including participation in internal and client reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of experience across LNG/refinery/petrochemical/chemical plant environments.
  • •At least 5 years in a lead position, including lead engineering experience for an LNG project.
  • •LNG receiving terminal experience is required.
  • •Knowledge of plot plan/equipment layout development and piping layout, including piping materials and piping stress analysis.
  • •Experience designing cryogenic piping (selection of cryogenic piping materials) and working across Conceptual Studies, FEED, and EPC for grass-root and revamp projects.
