Provide sound legal counsel to the company on all legal matters, ensuring protection against exposure and liability through legal risk assessment that supports management decision-making. Advise business departments on contractual and regulatory compliance, conduct legal research, and confirm legal opinions. Manage litigation and dispute resolution, draft and negotiate contracts (including insurance and lenders’ documents), and maintain custody of original agreements and registrations.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide legal advice, guidance, and support to company business departments across a range of matters to protect company interests and minimize liability.
•Conduct legal research and confirm legal opinions for cases filed for or against the company.
•Set out case and defense strategy, identify documentary exhibits, and draft instructions and appointment letters to external counsel and experts.
•Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters through all stages, including enforcement procedures where applicable.
•Review, negotiate, and draft a wide range of contracts and legal documents (including insurance/reinsurance policies and lenders’ documents) and update standard forms of agreements.

Key Requirements

•Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
•8-10 years of experience, with at least 2 years in an international law firm or an in-house legal department of a prominent regional company.
•Preferred professional certification: Chartered Insurance Institute (London) or equivalent.
•Bilingual proficiency with full professional command of English and Arabic.
•Provide legal advice and support to business departments to protect company interests by ensuring compliance and minimizing liability while highlighting risk.
