Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and improve reliable, efficient data processing systems at tens of terabytes per day
  • •Evaluate new technologies and establish best-practice standards in partnership with Data Engineering teams
  • •Craft and improve data workflows in GCP using Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GKE, and Airflow
  • •Drive cross-functional projects with stakeholders across Data Science, Product, Legal, Policy, and Engineering
  • •Mentor teammates and work with Data Science to design and implement data abstractions

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of combined experience across Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, Data Science, or Data Analyst roles
  • •Deep expertise in data engineering and data platform engineering
  • •Experience with GCP tooling (or AWS/Azure) including Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Dataflow (Apache Beam)
  • •Experience with tools such as Looker, Fivetran, Kubernetes/GKE, Airflow/Cloud Composer, and Terraform (or similar)
  • •Advanced coding skills in SQL and Python, plus strong software engineering fundamentals and leadership experience
