Job Summary

Lead a team of engineers in AMD’s Client SOC Performance group in Austin, TX to analyze performance and drive CPU core hardware and software optimizations for notebooks and desktops. Oversee SOC performance projects, analyze workloads, and develop tools/methodologies for workloads analysis and data collection, collaborating across sites and time zones to push next-generation CPU performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead SOC Performance Architecture modeling and feature analysis for next generation SOCs
•Work with CPU micro-architects and designers to optimize future CPU cores for Client workloads
•Drive analysis of critical workloads leading to hardware and software optimizations
•Determine competitive status and isolate weaknesses in our products for future improvement
•Lead post-silicon debug/tuning efforts to ensure AMD processors are fully performance optimized

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 175,000 - 300,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Master's degree or PhD in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with emphasis on computer architecture
•Experience leading a team of engineers and strong leadership/mentoring skills
•Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; strong software engineering concepts
•Experience with performance analysis and tracing system-level workloads and developing analysis tools
•Familiarity with operating systems, hypervisors, compilers, drivers, and workloads
