Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, simulate, lay out, and test photonic components and circuits.
  • •Collaborate across the PIC team spanning silicon photonics and III-V device design, simulation, and foundry process development.
  • •Support production tapeout, photonic testing, and production support activities.
  • •Partner with millimeter wave design, packaging, and module hardware/software/optics testing teams to build complete products.
  • •Work on advanced photonics chip development for optical communications products.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years, or Master’s degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years of industry experience in optical/electrical engineering, material science, physics, or related fields.
  • •Experience with solid-state physics, integrated photonics, and opto-electronics.
  • •Experience using photonics simulation tools such as FDTD, HFSS, and COMSOL.
  • •Experience with photonic device process and fabrication, including device layout and tapeout.
  • •Preferred experience in photonic device layout/tapeout and/or hybrid integration of different material systems.
