Key Responsibilities

•Supervise, train, and mentor a team of graduates and interns.
•Develop and support execution of mine designs and plans for mining operations.
•Lead safety-focused efforts and monitor execution against mine plans, highlighting deviations and improvement opportunities.
•Design and optimize open pit and mine layouts, including haul roads, ramps, stopes, and sequencing.
•Manage contractors and engineering consultants; mentor junior mine engineers and support budgeting, forecasting, and life-of-mine planning.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (or related); Master’s degree preferred.
•8+ years of open pit mining experience in mine planning, optimization, and operations.
•Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik and Vulcan, plus understanding of drill and blast, geotechnical engineering, and mine economics.
•Working knowledge of U.S. mining regulations, including MSHA standards, with a strong commitment to safe mining practices.
•Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, including mentoring junior mine engineers and technical staff.
