Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise, train, and mentor a team of graduates and interns.
  • •Develop and support execution of mine designs and plans for mining operations.
  • •Lead safety-focused efforts and monitor execution against mine plans, highlighting deviations and improvement opportunities.
  • •Design and optimize open pit and mine layouts, including haul roads, ramps, stopes, and sequencing.
  • •Manage contractors and engineering consultants; mentor junior mine engineers and support budgeting, forecasting, and life-of-mine planning.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (or related); Master’s degree preferred.
  • •8+ years of open pit mining experience in mine planning, optimization, and operations.
  • •Proficiency with mine planning software such as Deswik and Vulcan, plus understanding of drill and blast, geotechnical engineering, and mine economics.
  • •Working knowledge of U.S. mining regulations, including MSHA standards, with a strong commitment to safe mining practices.
  • •Demonstrated leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, including mentoring junior mine engineers and technical staff.
