Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to design of new precision approach and landing equipment for the JPALS/Precision Navigation team.
  • •Perform hands-on lab testing and support customer hardware evaluation, including troubleshooting.
  • •Create, analyze, and review mechanical drawings, schematics, and requirements-to-specification artifacts (including requirements allocation and interface definition).
  • •Support analysis across the total system lifecycle, including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • •Assist with technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost/risk, and supportability/effectiveness analyses, coordinating cross-functional execution on schedule.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree in a related field with 5+ years) and a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • •In-depth experience as a GPS test engineer developing and integrating the Ship Global Positioning System Sensor Unit (SGSU) V3.
  • •Highly skilled in automation and test execution, and able to create and troubleshoot algorithm software prior to software release.
  • •Familiarity with GPS architecture and design, performance specifications, and test methodologies.
  • •Active and transferable SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship required prior to start date.
