Job Summary

Design and set up operating models for Alternatives investment capabilities, partnering with Operational Design and Delivery to evolve services, processes, and controls. Develop a global operations framework with complexity and risk assessment, and drive end-to-end process mapping with architecture and risk/control teams. Coordinate with third-party providers and support cross-country integration and operational due diligence for new transactions.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and set up new operating models for portfolio/fund structures across Alternatives investment capabilities in collaboration with Operational Design and Delivery.
•Support changes to existing operating models to reflect new services, processes, and controls.
•Develop a global effective operations framework, including complexity and risk assessment and comprehensive documentation to HSBC standards.
•Contribute to end-to-end process mapping with functional architecture and 1st/2nd line risk and controls teams for guidance and assurance.
•Engage with third-party providers and support operational due diligence and integration planning for new counterparties and inorganic initiatives.

Key Requirements

•Working experience with Alternative products, ideally in investment operations or equivalent middle office roles in asset management.
•Experience with real assets and/or private credit operating models and fund structures (plus).
•Professional certifications (e.g., CAIA, CFA, ACA, ACCA, FRM) are a distinct advantage.
•Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and champion continuous improvement.
•Experience managing operational risk in a changing environment, with effective project management and organisational skills.
