Job Summary

Platform Engineer, AI Tooling on the Developer Experience Team will build the internal AI platform that enables Drata's engineers to work more efficiently. You’ll own pieces of the platform, design and release code in agile cycles, and integrate AI tooling into CI/CD, observability, and security controls for internal use.

Key Responsibilities

•Implement custom agent skills, subagents, hooks, and plugins for engineering workflows (PR review, test generation, on-call summaries, migration scripts, release notes)
•Build agentic workflows that automate coding lifecycle steps (code generation, verification, testing, delivery)
•Help engineering teams adopt and customize AI coding tools, pairing on prompts and debugging agents
•Wire AI into CI/CD with automated PR review, documentation generation, test scaffolding, and bug triage
•Build observability components (usage telemetry, cost dashboards, audit logs) for AI-driven changes

Key Requirements

•3+ years of experience as a software engineer building production systems and platforms
•Experience using and customizing AI coding tools (skills, rules, subagents, MCP servers, hooks, or extensions)
•Working knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and how to expose internal tools to AI agents safely
•Strong backend skills: TypeScript or Python in production, REST APIs, async programming, and relational databases
•Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions or similar) and AWS
