Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify and execute Value Engineering and Component Engineering opportunities for PA products.
  • •Review product designs, drawings, BOMs and manufacturing processes to find cost, quality, manufacturability, and supply continuity improvements.
  • •Generate cost-saving ideas via product teardown, benchmarking, supplier discussions, plant inputs, and engineering reviews; evaluate savings value, feasibility, certification impact, and risks.
  • •Prepare business cases and lead savings projects from idea stage through design update, validation, qualification, ECO release, and implementation.
  • •Create and review 2D production drawings, 3D CAD models, design calculations, DFMEA, tolerance stack-up, and qualification documents; support certification impact assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •4 to 6 years of relevant Mechanical Design experience in Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, Process Control, Marine or related industries.
  • •Strong mechanical design knowledge across product development practices and manufacturing processes.
  • •Experience in product cost reduction, value engineering, productivity, or sustaining engineering projects.
  • •Strong understanding of design calculations, tolerance stack-up, GD&T, DFMEA, DFM and DFA.
  • •Hands-on experience in SolidWorks and Creo; experience with Teamcenter, PDM/PLM and ECO/ECR activities.
