Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and promote Tyson safety culture while performing general maintenance throughout the plant.
  • •Receive required training and perform various positions/tasks as assigned.
  • •Complete welding, cutting, and minor electrical repair work as needed.
  • •Remove, replace, and repair motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, and water/steam pipes and related lines/systems.
  • •Monitor boilers and perform chemical tests when required, and read drawings/schematics of hydraulic and basic electrical systems.

Key Requirements

  • •1+ year of maintenance/mechanical experience.
  • •6 months of continuous employment in the last 2 years.
  • •Basic mechanical/maintenance skills, including knowledge of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics, and plumbing.
  • •Ability to read and understand assignments and communicate orally and in writing.
  • •Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, and meet physical requirements (including working in extreme temperatures and loud environments).
