Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead conceptual and technical design, development, and optimization of data architecture from analysis and target-state design through implementation and integration.
  • •Define the cloud data foundation using Azure Databricks, including source onboarding to Bronze and transformation into the enterprise data model in Silver.
  • •Establish patterns for data modeling, storage, ETL/ELT, and interfaces (including APIs and MCP interfaces), and embed access control, DLP, metadata, lineage, and data-quality requirements.
  • •Own key architecture decisions, guide legacy decoupling and migration, and lead architecture workstreams and project teams.
  • •Maintain architecture documentation and support knowledge transfer into the run organization with business, engineering, governance, and operations teams.

Key Requirements

  • •University degree in computer science, business information systems engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable discipline.
  • •Several years of practical experience designing and implementing enterprise data architectures and cloud data platforms/storage, including ETL and ELT.
  • •Experience delivering across on-premises and cloud environments, preferably Azure Databricks.
  • •Strong data-modeling and data-engineering skills, including enterprise data models, data structures, SQL, NoSQL, APIs, governance, master data, metadata, lineage, access controls, and data quality.
  • •English fluency; German is advantageous for business-facing work.
