Key Responsibilities

  • •Support engineering design, analysis, calculations, and specifications for facility fire and life safety systems.
  • •Develop building/fire code compliance documents and fire life safety designs for SpaceX launch facilities.
  • •Perform hazardous material analysis and support system design related to chemical classification and inventory.
  • •Support construction and commissioning activities, including pre-test and AHJ testing phases for launch site facility builds.
  • •Conduct fire/life safety code reviews, develop alternate means and methods, and prepare technical reports and presentations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • •2+ years’ experience in the design and construction of fire protection systems and/or fire protection consulting.
  • •Professional Engineer License (P.E.) with Principles of Engineering exam passed.
  • •Working knowledge of building and fire codes and NFPA codes/standards.
  • •NICET certification in relevant fire protection programs.
