Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform management, leadership, and people accountability for the Traffic Engineering team.
  • •Lead day-to-day traffic engineering production by assigning tasks, maintaining schedules, and verifying deliverable quality.
  • •Guide technical staff developing traffic engineering reports and safety studies, including forecasting, simulations, cost estimates, and conceptual layouts.
  • •Guide development of construction plans for traffic safety and operations improvement projects.
  • •Ensure compliance with GDOT standards and coordinate project advancement through the GDOT Plan Development Process with QA/QC, milestones, and approvals; develop and track scope, schedule, and budget while communicating risks/issues and representing AECOM at stakeholder meetings.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related discipline.
  • •8+ years of related traffic engineering experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Georgia or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • •Experience with GDOT standards, regulations, and guidelines, including MUTCD and traffic analysis software.
  • •Experience managing project delivery, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams following the GDOT PDP.
