Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect and analyze site and technical inputs (surveys, blueprints, schematics, specifications, drawings, and sketches) to support drafting and design activities.
  • •Use 3D CADD tools and partner with engineers to resolve design details/discrepancies and produce precise drawings.
  • •Generate and substantiate accurate design-phase deliverables (reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans/profiles, sections/details, specifications, and material lists).
  • •Monitor and verify calculations, design changes, contract plan/spec interpretation, and escalate or resolve design/technical issues as needed.
  • •Collaborate with engineers and technical professionals, support design reviews, provide guidance/training to entry-level staff, and travel occasionally for client site visits and meetings as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of 11 years of relevant post-education experience in the discipline with prior drafting and design support experience.
  • •Advanced knowledge of drafting and design support principles, practices, and methods, including relevant codes and compliance/record-keeping requirements.
  • •Strong ability to perform technical computations involving geometry and mathematical concepts and understand plans/specifications to compare against standards or regulations.
