Job Summary

Lead rail systems engineering and safety assurance activities within the Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance team. Develop system engineering plans, system definitions, technical requirements, and system architectures, and oversee technical requirements management using tools such as DOORS and ComplyPro. Serve as senior technical resource, support multidisciplinary reviews, ensure quality in studies and design, and collaborate with clients to define scope, work packages, budgets, and schedules.

•Develop system engineering plans, processes, system definitions, technical requirements, and system architectures.
•Manage technical requirements using tools and techniques such as DOORS and ComplyPro.
•Evaluate interrelationships between system requirements and system design/development requirements; develop scope of work and work packages as senior technical resource.
•Provide specialized technical input to studies and design; develop procedures to support high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
•Participate in multidisciplinary reviews; perform quality control on calculations/drawings; prepare technical specification sections; support engineering budget and schedule development.

•Engineering degree or equivalent education
•Chartered Engineer
•Experience of railway systems safety and assurance, including system safety and interoperability
•Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and regulations
