Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership and managerial support for the Global Health Cluster, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of activities.
  • •Develop and propose health policies and strategies in collaboration with Regional and Country Offices, and advise on the cluster’s strategic direction.
  • •Oversee unit teams, ensuring synergies across technical domains, and manage staff, financial resources, and work planning to meet programme deliverables.
  • •Lead research on best practices, manage monitoring and evaluation, and report on KPIs to optimize performance and inform programme deliverables.
  • •Represent WHO at technical meetings and liaise with UN agencies, donors, and research institutions to advance M&E methods and influence policy and practice.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced university degree (Master’s level) in a clinical discipline, public health, disaster management, or a related field.
  • •At least 10 years of professional experience in managing emergency/humanitarian operations responses, including health policies and strategies.
  • •Demonstrated experience managing human and financial resources, with interagency collaboration experience.
  • •Demonstrated experience at the international level.
  • •Strong skills in planning and coordinating multidisciplinary public health programmes, including public health/disease control programmes.
