Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and guide dredger activities; teach and advise the crew to improve understanding of dredging operations onboard.
  • •Lead daily vessel management and assume final responsibility for operational management covering nautical and dredging process activities.
  • •Prioritize onboard safety by communicating safety policy, conducting safety/toolbox meetings, drills, and exercises, and motivating the crew.
  • •Coordinate with project management on operational, non-operational, and administrative activities; provide daily production reporting and consultation.
  • •Ensure maintenance planning and execution, perform equipment safety checks, manage accident reporting, support quality assurance, and oversee correct waste treatment onboard.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid COC and endorsements, Class 1 Master
  • •Valid GMDSS and other STCW certificates
  • •Hold a valid statutory license issued by the flag authority for the specific on-board job
  • •Be familiar with SMS (safety management system) and ISPS
  • •Knowledge of Risk Assessment / PTW
