Job Summary

Own end-to-end People Operations for Smartsheet Bulgaria while partnering with leaders across EMEA to roll out people programs like talent reviews, compensation planning, and engagement initiatives. Serve as the local subject matter expert on Bulgarian labor law, manage employee relations and performance issues in coordination with legal, and ensure operational compliance across regional entities. Use HR metrics to drive data-informed decisions, working closely with global People Centers of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive implementation of company-wide people programs for EMEA, including talent reviews, compensation planning, and engagement initiatives.
•Partner with and coach management teams to support team dynamics, operational changes, and people strategies.
•Manage and resolve employee relations activities such as performance improvement situations, grievances, and investigations with managers and legal.
•Own the end-to-end People Operations lifecycle for Bulgaria, ensuring local operational compliance and day-to-day execution.
•Act as the local subject matter expert on Bulgarian labor laws and support compliance tracking for assigned European markets, including UK/Germany employment practice queries.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 33,500 - 42,250

Key Requirements

•8+ years of progressive HR experience with hands-on HR operations.
•Strong knowledge of Bulgarian employment law and practices (mandatory) with practical exposure to UK or German employment law frameworks.
•Direct experience managing employee relations cases, performance management, and conflict resolution.
•Professional fluency in either French or German, plus fluency in English.
•Legally eligible to work in Bulgaria on an ongoing basis; experience with Workday, Smartsheet, or Google for Work is a plus.
