Job Summary

Join the Platform Systems Architecture team as an Optical Platform Systems Intern to support hardware, software, and product verification for the Converged Packet Optical family. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, help define new products, assist in design documentation, and participate in research and development of optical communications technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with experienced mentors in the multi-disciplinary Platform Systems Architecture team to help define and validate innovative new products and features.
•Support the architecture, hardware, software, and product verification teams on the development and testing of new products.
•Contribute to the documentation of design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
•Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize system performance.
•Participate in research and development activities to explore new technologies and concepts in optical communications.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 25 - 34 hourly

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
•Basic understanding of optical communication principles, fiber optics, and optical components (lasers, detectors, modulators, etc.).
•Excel skills and experience with a scripting language such as Python are assets.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
