Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement approved departmental policies and ensure compliance so work is controlled and compliant.
  • •Oversee day-to-day procurement for alloys, refractory, and relining materials and maintain optimum inventory levels with Warehouse/Operations.
  • •Develop purchasing plans and procurement activities based on end-user needs within required timeframes, including purchasing advice on availability, cost, quality, and timelines.
  • •Oversee end-to-end purchasing documentation and processes to secure competitive terms, and monitor tender cycles for compliance.
  • •Lead procurement team execution, manage vendor relationships, and perform market intelligence/price benchmarking to optimize deals and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably with specialization in Supply Chain/Material Management or related fields.
  • •6 years relevant experience in procurement within a similar industry.
  • •Good knowledge of the aluminium smelting industry.
  • •Knowledge of market trends affecting material prices, fluctuations, suppliers, and geographic factors.
  • •Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
