Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection and partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development using scoping, trade tables, should-cost models, and statements of work.
  • •Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
  • •Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
  • •Complete BOM risk assessment, including alternate component sourcing, and ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production.
  • •Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost and address ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other technical field.
  • •3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Ability to travel 10%–40% of the time based on program needs.
  • •Ability to relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
