•Conduct supplier selection and partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development using scoping, trade tables, should-cost models, and statements of work.
•Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
•Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
•Complete BOM risk assessment, including alternate component sourcing, and ensure component qualifications are completed ahead of production.
•Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost and address ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other technical field.
•3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
•Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
•Ability to travel 10%–40% of the time based on program needs.
•Ability to relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
