Job Summary

Lead a large manufacturing engineering organization at the Largo, FL site, providing technical and engineering leadership across factory support from planning through production execution and customer support. Drive operational excellence in assembly and test instructions, yield improvements, technical issue investigation, root-cause/corrective action, and test equipment maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional factory/program/engineering leaders and Largo Site Leadership, manage performance and talent development, and support new business transitions through readiness reviews.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide people leadership for ~50–60 manufacturing engineers, including department staff of 5+ section managers/technical leads in Largo, FL.
•Build cross-functional teams to meet factory goals, leading assembly and test instructions, yield improvements, technical issue investigation, root cause/corrective action, and process/test equipment improvements.
•Manage department leadership and technical staff performance management, goal setting, career counseling, compensation planning, employee training, and talent development.
•Support site initiatives and strategy as a member of the Largo Site Leadership team.
•Support new business capture and factory transition by reviewing bids and participating in technology and manufacturing readiness reviews to provide manufacturing/assembly/test design inputs.

Key Requirements

•Typically require a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and minimum 10 years of related experience.
•U.S. citizenship is required.
•Must have or be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance (DoD Secret).
•5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or manufacturing engineering.
•3+ years of prior leadership experience in manufacturing or engineering.
