Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze data from the physical work site, surveys, structural plans, blueprints, schematics, data, technical drawings, flow diagrams, material sampling, and other matrices for field inspection activities.
  • •Use survey instruments, metering devices, and test equipment to perform inspections on projects of basic to moderate complexity to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, and permits.
  • •Provide technical assistance to ensure proper inspection, construction, and functioning of buildings, highways, roads, bridges, structures, infrastructure, equipment, and/or mechanical systems according to design specifications.
  • •Verify load calculations and contract interpretation, escalate differences or problems for resolution.
  • •Monitor project phasing and contractor work to ensure quality control and contract compliance; document progress and issues.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •Minimum of 7 years of relevant post-education experience in construction inspection.
  • •Kentucky Certifications for Grade & Drain Inspector.
  • •Valid state driver's license.
  • •Knowledge of relevant construction codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
