Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and maintain security checks and detection content for the Invicti platform with a focus on accuracy, coverage, and low false-positive rates.
  • •Create new detection rules (primarily OpenGrep) to catch novel malware and vulnerability patterns.
  • •Research vulnerability classes and exploitation techniques, translating emerging attack patterns into production-ready detections.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of offensive security or application security research experience (Bachelor's + 2 years, or equivalent).
  • •Strong programming knowledge with JavaScript (Python is a plus).
  • •Strong understanding of vulnerability classifications, exploitation techniques, and common software weakness taxonomy.
  • •Hands-on experience with web application pentesting covering OWASP Top 10 and adjacent classes (including modern REST/GraphQL APIs).
  • •Experience writing and validating detections for DAST/fuzzers or similar systems, including false-positive management; testing/evaluation framework experience is a plus.
