Key Responsibilities

  • •Update Tracker with file allocations, diary records, court dates, directions, applications, orders, and general activity to enable progress tracking.
  • •Draft routine court documents (e.g., AOS, Notice of Change, Court Orders, Witness Summons, precedent-based applications).
  • •Liaise with courts, counsel, opponents, experts, witnesses, insureds, and brokers to progress cases, including requesting/providing updates and extensions and booking counsel for hearings.
  • •Follow up on outstanding instructions, documents, and other actions to ensure responses are received within required timescales.
  • •Make payment requests using the appropriate payment process and chase to ensure payments are received and dispatched on time, while diarising and updating CRU.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience working in a legal environment is desirable.
  • •Strong communication skills and experience negotiating/influencing third parties to obtain information.
  • •Follow a semi-prescribed programme of work and manage calls/enquiries from customers, suppliers, and/or the public.
  • •Gather and record information accurately while working on your own initiative, prioritising and organising your workload.
  • •IT literate with proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English (or equivalent).
