Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, create, and maintain software and systems to improve availability, scalability, and efficiency of Thumbtack services.
  • •Set architectural direction of infrastructure and platform services while supporting the engineering organization.
  • •Design and implement tools and processes for deployment, change, service, and infrastructure management.
  • •Troubleshoot and debug critical systems throughout the SDLC.
  • •Contribute to platform capability evolution, including capacity planning and demand forecasting, and participate in rotating on-call duties.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 180,200 - 233,200 annually

  • •Extensive fluency in AWS and Linux.
  • •Ability to read, write, and debug code in languages including Python, Go, PHP, and JavaScript.
  • •Expertise designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems using web technologies such as DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, and TCP/IP.
  • •Knowledge of instrumenting, operating, and observing distributed microservices in a production cloud environment.
