Key Responsibilities

•Develop and check hydraulic models to assist design of Flood Alleviation Schemes and Flood Risk Assessments
•Lead and contribute to tenders for projects and framework contracts
•Mentor staff within the team to support their professional development
•Build relationships with clients and multiple technical disciplines to deliver integrated flood risk projects
•Ensure outputs comply with legislation, guidelines, programme and budget while delivering high-quality outputs

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline; obtained or near to obtaining CIWEM or similar professional qualification
•Significant experience in hydraulic and water quality modelling software (e.g., Mike, ICM, SIMCAT, Flood Modeller and/or TUFLOW)
•Knowledge of Environment Agency requirements for flood models and flood risk assessments
•Basic understanding of physico-chemical water quality and regulatory standards for fresh waters
•Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to mentor staff and work in a deadline-driven team environment
