Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical support to the ethanol facility to improve equipment reliability and performance while meeting safety, environmental, and economic guidelines.
  • •Participate in activities such as mechanical equipment design, inspection data analysis, fitness-for-service evaluations, repair plan development, materials selection, root cause failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • •Work with Process Engineers to design and install new projects and other plant improvements.
  • •Recognize, report, and recommend actions regarding safety, health, and environmental issues impacting operations and personnel.
  • •Support projects including equipment design, specification preparation, equipment integrity evaluations, research investigations, and report preparation.

Key Requirements

  • •Currently a junior or senior enrolled in a Mechanical, Agriculture, Electrical, Chemical, or Bio-Chemical engineering program at an ABET-accredited four-year college/university.
  • •Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • •May participate in mechanical equipment design, inspection data analysis, fitness-for-service evaluations, repair plan development, and root cause failure analysis.
  • •Ability to work 40 hours per week onsite with reliable transportation.
  • •Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators.
