Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and expand Skydio Cloud’s core data model and API for drones and docks and the data they produce; reference the public API to guide capabilities.
  • •Build core features of the customer-facing web app (over the air updates, real-time fleet health, asset management, security and permissioning, user and device management, 3D reconstruction).
  • •Collaborate across product, design, engineering, and field teams to design and deliver Skydio Cloud features that scale for customers.
  • •Design secure, efficient, observable, scalable, and robust software for handling petabytes of real-time data and video from fleets of drones.
  • •Contribute to engineering standards and help the team grow through code reviews, post-mortems, and on-call reliability.
  • •Maintain platform availability 24/7 by participating in rotating on-call across engineering teams.
