Job Summary

Perform solar cell reliability testing in a lab environment, including characterization of electrical and optical properties and reliability testing in environmental chambers. Monitor and track chamber health, perform basic maintenance, and support troubleshooting of tool/process issues. Execute experiments under standard procedures, interpret instructions into outcomes, and compile and analyze test data to drive continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform solar cell reliability testing in a lab environment.
•Characterize electrical and optical properties of solar cell devices.
•Run reliability testing in various environmental chambers and monitor chamber health.
•Perform basic maintenance of reliability chambers and learn operation/calibration/preventative maintenance of lab/process equipment.
•Compile and analyze test data and assist with troubleshooting to suggest improvements to achieve performance goals.

Travel: Low travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 24.56 - 34.81 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as an Engineering Test Support II at First Solar.
•Associate’s degree in an engineering or similar technical discipline with 2 years of relevant technical experience, or 1 year as an Engineering Test Support II at First Solar.
•Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of relevant technical experience, or 1 year as an Engineering Test Support II at First Solar.
•Ability to perform sample testing, semiconductor device fabrication, and/or electrical or optical measurements.
•Intermediate MS Office knowledge; some knowledge of SQL/JMP is a plus, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
