Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and repair mechanical equipment at a wood-fired steam turbine electrical generation power plant, from routine maintenance to complex troubleshooting.
  • •Perform maintenance following blueprint sketches and procedures, including drilling, tapping, fabricating, welding, machinery alignment, and quality control.
  • •Follow safety and environmental rules; implement safe working practices, identify hazards, and recommend and/or implement repairs.
  • •Maintain mechanical equipment for biomass and gas fired systems, including boilers, steam turbines, electrical generators, compressors, water treatment equipment, pumps, valves, and auxiliary equipment.
  • •Use maintenance reporting systems to record time/materials and maintenance history; conduct equipment inspections and tagging, and coordinate contractors when needed.

Salary: USD 41.62 - 54.5

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Four years’ experience as a mechanic/machinist in a power plant, with knowledge of mobile heavy equipment, loaders, trucks, and welding.
  • •Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • •Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • •Demonstrated use of standard mechanical tools and measurement devices, plus knowledge across at least four skills such as pipefitting, welding, machining, rigging, rotating machine repair, fabrication, machine alignment, piping schematics, mechanical drawings, and basic vibration analysis.
