Key Responsibilities

  • •Shape product security strategy by identifying highest-leverage risks and opportunities as Warp and its enterprise business grow.
  • •Design and build security-critical product capabilities directly in the codebase alongside product engineers.
  • •Scale security across engineering using secure-by-default architecture, reusable systems/tooling, and threat modeling (not gatekeeping every change).
  • •Partner with Product, Sales, and engineering leadership to understand enterprise security requirements and communicate Warp’s security posture.
  • •Lead application-security incident response, from vulnerability assessment and mitigation coordination to customer communication and follow-up.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful product/application/software security experience, ideally in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • •Strong software engineering fundamentals to personally design, build, and ship production systems (not primarily security review/advisory).
  • •Deep application security knowledge: authentication/authorization, data protection, vulnerability classes, threat modeling, secure architecture, and incident response.
  • •Strong product judgment to translate security risks and customer requirements into pragmatic product and engineering decisions.
  • •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with clear, adaptable communication and comfort with ambiguity.
