Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform surface and volumetric NDE inspections for Starship flight components and production assemblies.
  • •Interpret, evaluate, communicate, and report inspection findings to production and engineering teams.
  • •Interpret and review engineering drawings as required.
  • •Support development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries and critical processes qualification/certification.
  • •Assist in training and developing others on the NDE Operations team.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •Nondestructive Evaluation Level II certification aligned to ASNT TC-1A, NAS-410, or DOD guidance for methods including ET, RT, DR, PT, VT, CR, PAUT, UT, UTSW, or MT.
  • •Additional NDE Level II or Level III certifications aligned to ASNT TC-1A, NAS-410, or DOD guidance in one or more of the listed methods.
  • •2+ years of experience as a Level II nondestructive evaluation/testing inspector.
  • •Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted and meet extended standing/walking and physical requirements, including safe work at heights (up to 500 ft) and in confined spaces.
