Senior QA Engineer for the Aerial Capture team, flying drones daily and shaping the quality bar from field tests to release. You’ll define test programs, lead high-risk acceptance testing, maintain regression suites, and drive bug reporting quality with an AI-first approach. This is a field-first, hands-on role in a remote-first culture, focusing on hardware and mobile QA within DroneDeploy’s drone software ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

•Field testing - perform daily drone regression, acceptance, and validation flights, including coordinating with the QA team to ensure robust coverage.
•Test planning and execution - define comprehensive test plans for new features/releases and identify edge cases before release.
•QA team coordination - design and schedule QA test programs, write clear plans and checklists to prevent bottlenecks.
•Bug reporting quality - own repro steps, severity, logs, and media to ensure actionable tickets for triage.
•Regression strategy - manage Dock, Android, and iOS regression suites and maintain a regression playbook.
