Job Summary

Perform safe, effective inspections, repairs, and maintenance on asphalt plant equipment and support field operations. Diagnose malfunctions, operate and inspect machines, dismantle and reassemble components, and replace defective parts such as engines, transmissions, motors, and hydraulic systems. Weld broken parts, test overhauled equipment, maintain time/parts records, and support other maintenance activities while following safety procedures and OSHA/MSHA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Analyze equipment malfunctions and perform repairs, rebuilds, and maintenance.
•Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects.
•Dismantle, reassemble, and replace defective equipment components using hoists and hand/power tools.
•Examine parts for damage or excessive wear and use micrometers and gauges.
•Keep time and parts records and perform general maintenance/cleaning in support of efficient operations.

Key Requirements

•Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
•1–2-year experience and/or training; or equivalent education and experience.

•Comply with safety requirements (including OSHA and/or MSHA), wear required PPE, and maintain a current driver’s license.
