Key Responsibilities

•Undertake 1D-2D hydraulic modelling commissions to assess fluvial, surface water and tidal flooding.
•Undertake other forms of technical work including Flood Risk Assessments; hydrological assessments; flood defence design; strategic flood risk assessments; design of sustainable urban drainage systems and environmental statements.
•Take a proactive approach to project delivery, completing technical work to high quality standards within defined budgets and programmes.
•Nurture and develop graduate team members.
•Collaborate with senior modellers to execute the agreed technical approach and support growth of the team.

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
•Experience in the application of 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling techniques within water consulting, including software packages such as Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW and InfoWorks ICM.
•Experience in the use of GIS software including QGIS, ArcGIS and MapInfo.
•Experience in production of hydraulic modelling reporting deliverables.
•A track record of successful delivery of flood risk and water management projects, including liaison with private/public sector clients and regulators.
