Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake 1D-2D hydraulic modelling commissions to assess fluvial, surface water and tidal flooding.
  • •Undertake other forms of technical work including Flood Risk Assessments; hydrological assessments; flood defence design; strategic flood risk assessments; design of sustainable urban drainage systems and environmental statements.
  • •Take a proactive approach to project delivery, completing technical work to high quality standards within defined budgets and programmes.
  • •Nurture and develop graduate team members.
  • •Collaborate with senior modellers to execute the agreed technical approach and support growth of the team.

Key Requirements

  • •Undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • •Experience in the application of 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling techniques within water consulting, including software packages such as Flood Modeller Pro, TUFLOW and InfoWorks ICM.
  • •Experience in the use of GIS software including QGIS, ArcGIS and MapInfo.
  • •Experience in production of hydraulic modelling reporting deliverables.
  • •A track record of successful delivery of flood risk and water management projects, including liaison with private/public sector clients and regulators.
